Corex Commences Drilling at Santana Property

Vancouver, BC - February 8, 2010 - Corex Gold Corp. (the "Company") has commenced drilling on its Santana gold project in Sonora State, Mexico. The program will comprise of a 5,000 meter (30 hole) diamond drilling program: Approximately 3,500 meters (20 holes) to follow up on previous drilling success (please refer to news release dated August 18, 2009) and approximately 1,500 meters (10 holes) of drilling targeted on new zones identified via the 3D IP Survey. This 5000 meter program is the beginning of Corex's larger 2010 drill program that is planned to include an RC drill in March an additional diamond drill rig in the spring.

The break down of drilling is as follows:

Follow up drilling: will consist of 20 holes, designed to test targets located in an area measuring 2.3 km x 1.5 km as defined by favorable alteration and associated gold anomalies. These holes will test the downdip and strike extensions of Turena, Benjamin, and El Nicho Zones drilled in 2008-09. The most recent results were released in the news release dated Nov 19, 2009. Gold mineralization is associated with alteration assemblages that are characterized by pervasive and structurally controlled iron oxides, quartz vein stockwork, clay and sericite--illite alteration. The mineralization at the proposed seven drilled areas is hosted by intermediate tuffs and flows.

New Zone drill testing: will consist of 10 holes to test new target areas of the Santana Project: located along the "NW" zones which extend for 2.3 km in a south-easterly direction. Management expects to identify additional targets upon completion of the IP survey.
